 2009 was a year affected by an economic crisis, caused by globally based, but Kahramanmaraş was quite successful. Statistics are the indicators to prove this fact. The exports in 2009 increased by 11.53%, when compared to 2008, and reached 438.5 million US dollars. In addition, companies in K.Maraş started exporting to new markets. Today companies export to various markets, including Brazil and the Middle East countries.

TR63 Region (Consists of Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye) has a 1,9 billion USD export potential whereas 1,4 billion of export revenues comes from Hatay, 430 million USD come from Kahramanmaraş an 9 million USD come from Osmaniye.

Kahramanmaraş contributes Turkish Economy with its export especially in textile and metal industry.
