Kahramanmaraş can be called water land because of having rich thermal waters, dam lakes and rivers. Due to having 4 operating and 4 under construction Dam Lakes, Kahramanmaraş has not got any problem within irritation. Menzelet and Sır Dams, which were built on the Ceyhan River, are used for both producing electricity and irritation.

Renewable Energies like wind and sun are becoming popular in the last decade due to the fact that fossil fuels such as coal and oils are running out. Wind power stations are set up between Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye provinces and have been operating since 2009.  


          Wind is another important renewable energy source in our region. Even there are 6.204 MW production power capacities, 4.07 % of this capacity are used owing to lack of enough investment. Kahramanmaraş has one third of this power production capacity.
